Folks,

A heads up for this years S'n'T, as has become the custom it'll be the last weekend in September, we have booked the bunkhouse here;

Good food, good beer and it's own waterfall (highest unbroken fall in England)

They also have B&B rooms for those that fancy it and camping for the brave amongst us (could be chilly in Sept!)

B&B is £40 pppn

For the bunkhouse its looking like £13 - £15 pppn or £16 - £20 with breakfast included.

We've booked the bunkhouse for as many people that want to come (I'm sure he said it can accommodate 50!) but if you would like one of the B&B rooms or camping etc. please get in touch with either me or terry lees and we'll deal with the landlord direct. I'm probably your best bet, by the time Terry has finished typing a reply we'll be booking for S'n'T 2013!


We may be able to organise some live music, there might be a BBQ, there will be some great roads and the usual apres-ride activities

I'm easy on the mileage, just looking forward to getting out round there the roads are fantastic, some of my faves are round Hawes,Sedburgh & Settle. Will we make devils bridge?

Gutted guys but i am going to have to sit this out now. At docs this morning as been having severe pain in shoulders for past 6 weeks (previously constant small pain but whole new level recently). Anyway due to having complete lock of right shoulder at unexpected times such as putting a plug in socket or turning off bedside alarm i cant risk a shoulder lock when on bike and the resulting loss of power in the arm and inability to grip.

Off for xray on both shoulders tomoro followed by a blood test. Oh yeah and having another skin cancer episode removed from arm this week too. Just as well i smoke so many fags, getting the money back out the nhs my tobacco tax has paid in.

Have a great ride guys, hopefully be back to fitness in time for the wee mac next year

Hi Martin, Good to hear from you, was rather hoping you might join us. We plan to leave Hardraw at 9.15, and the planned lunch stop is in Windermere. Arrival rtime there should be somewhere between 12.00 and 1.00pm, hopefully nearer 12.00. I have a venue planned but hav'nt spoken to the owner yet. Will contact you when this is confirmed. Hope you and Angela can make it.
ps I think there's still room in the bunkhouse if you fancy

Been great up here today Ellie, Had breakfast in Windermere at the hotel I'm hoping will provide a spot of lunch for us next Sat. The forecast for the week ahead is dreadful, so hopefully will be ok by next weekend. It can't rain every day, can it?

On Saturday I checked the bike over, washed & polished her after going out for short test to make sure they got the balancing right this time.

I was very naughty (been chastised by the daughter) after going for a very progressive spin up the A1 towards Stamford and returning via its fly over which has a beautiful 'S' in it so I lost a bit more knee slider on both sides. well I won't get to ride her until Friday.

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Same here just hope the weather improves, I was up in Settle and Sedburgh today and the roads were treacherous, wet leaves, fallen branches and floods everywhere, at this rate I'll be coming in the car and staying in the pub all day!!

No no nooooooo!!! I was in the car today and that was bad enough, besides I had a hard enough time earning the name Snowcat, not ready for Aquacat yet

No, should be fine, the forecast for tomorrow is showers, then thurs. fri. and sat. to be fine. Having said that, I'm sure with the amount of rain we've had there will be some pretty big puddles left.

Gravel & debris will be a concern, its not good around here & its been mild in comparison
