Oxon/Berks/Hants/Wilts Run - 12th May.
First topic message reminder :
There seemed to be some interest in a rideout from Milton Services on the A34 (near Didcot). So as a try-out lets go for Sunday week, 12th May, and I suggest we meet up in the McDonald's car park at 10:30 for a 11:00 departure.
I have a route from there that I'll be leading for another group this Sunday, so I'll base it on that. It's a mix of open flowing rural roads and some, er, less open and flowing rural roads. Suitable for all levels of experience and, let's say, progressiveness.
The first half finishes at Tesco in Andover, so you can fill up with whatever takes your fancy (or bring your own picnic, I don't mind). The second half winds back north -west, finishing at McDonalds at Watchfield on the A420 Shrivenham bypass, a few miles east of Swindon. But I suggest we see who turns up and what their preferences are, and I can modify (lengthen, shorten, change the finish point etc.) to suit.
Any takers? Any questions? I'll post any more details I can think of during the week.
Looking forward to meeting a few of you, at last.
Bob

Sorry, Tel, what was the question again?
Yes, after a few years on the forum without actually meeting any of its members, it was good to match at least a couple of faces to the names.
We let Tomcat loose on the A4 west of Hungerford, soon after the rain started - hope you got home safely and not too damp, Tom, and many thanks for making the long trip from London.
