East Anglia ride out & BBQ, Sunday 16th August

Post by bignige on Fri Jun 05, 2009 9:08 pm

Our Local landlord & his good lady (both active Motorcyclists) are holding a bikers BBQ on the afternoon of Sunday 16th August & have asked me to do a ride out before hand.
We will be starting at about 10:00am for a run of of approx 120 miles round some of the best roads Lincolnshire has to offer.
We will return to the pub for the BBQ at around 3.00 pm.
All proffits will go to the Air Ambulance, Several bike groups inc, Triumph owners club, SV1000, Wilshire possie & local bikers have been invited & so far numbers are already around 50 so we expecting this to be a good way to spend a Sunday & raise a few quid for charity.
As it's a Sunday we're thinking the more local Thundercat owners may be interested, not expecting too many folks from the ends of the country however any Forum member who wants to join us will be very welcome.
(postcode PE12 7NJ will give you a rough idea of the area - within 5 miles)
PM me if your coming / intersested & any questions.
regards Nige

Sorry Nige ,

Gonna have to count me & Bea out of this one now as we'll be coming home from the Alps trip that day as the dates moved on that one.

Hope the day goes well for you and Ian.

Cheers

If the weather is kind, then I could be up for this.

Reckon you'll 50+ bikes round 120 miles and back in time for tea? Laughing

Deso m8,

We managed 64 bikes around more miles than 120 at a welshpool meet one year and were home in time for tea and medals Wink Very Happy

We did start a weee bit earlier though I'll admit Twisted Evil . I'm sure this'll be a good day no matter what the weather, though an indoor barby might be a sight to see if the weather is inclement Laughing
