so i thought i'd share a few pics of my r6 after a good couple of hours making her all clean and shiny ( excuse the luggage, the first lot of pics i took before loading her didnt come out)

it did a bit at first, but they messed up and had to re-insure me , and its now actually a little cheaper

how was it? i think about swap thunderrcat for r6

get some quotes first,,see how they come out.

I think with the couple of spills you've had in the last 12 months the insurance on an R6 will astronomical, defo get some quotes before making a decision, even if the accidents weren't your fault insurance companies will see you as a major risk so be careful.

How does the R6 compare with the Cat littlecat?
Having major building work on the house, starting this month (extention) and if funds allow may think about a swap next year.

for me , the biggest advantage is the weight.. the thundercat was rather heavy for me, and i find the R6 a lot easier to manage .
Having said that, the R6 cant be lowered as far as the Cat , so i only have touchdown with one foot... but none of that will apply to you .
As far as riding.. i find it handles easier ( again thats probably largely due to the weight), its a little more 'skittish' than the Cat, but bloody good fun.
Obviously it has a smaller tank, and the seat as standard isnt quite as comfy as the Cat, but makes no difference to me as i have to shave all the foam off both lol.
to be honest it just seemed like the obvious trade up, and so far i think it was absolutely the right move.

Thanks for that. If funds allow (and wife ) may be able to get a R6 before the Cat goes.

MoT is end of April so hopefully a good time to sell with a full MoT?

The Cat's seat is comfy for the older posterior though.
