Bought a fixer upper

Hey everyone, joined the forum a few weeks back as I knew I was getting this bike.
Got it for a steal from a mate, it has gone skating on its left side at some point before he bought it and is damaged all down that side.
These pics are from its good angle, lol.
It runs really well and I am loving messing about on it. Haven't decided yet as to wether or not I am just going to ride it, or maybe actually do something about the damaged and mismatched colours.
I will probably be on here a lot begging for advice.
Its good side.
