Guys n gals, need a bit of help....

Live in Shropshire and need to get my bike serviced, etc.... Just been
quoted £530 for mot, main service (oil, air, plugs, coolant) and changing
carb rubbers, by Yamaha dealer in Kidderminster.

I nearly fell off my seat....

Am i right in thinking that's a tad expensive?

Anyone have any ideas of where i can take it?

Thanks in advance.....

Hi, I also replied on the FB group. I have used the mart in Kidderminster. They are very good, they did a big chunk of work on my Thundercat a couple of years ago...full service, s/s downpipes, Hagon shock fittted, braided brake lines, C&S.  I normally do most of my own servicing, but this was a 'treat' as I have had mine for 16 years by then. It wasn't cheap, but the bike rode brilliantly afterwards

I have also used Readspeed in Stourport on Severn to do work on my aircooled 550 Kawasaki and they are good lads. Scooter specialists, but work on anything. They had a MV F4 and Indian in the workshop last time I was there!

Anthony, thx for the feedback. I appreciate they did a good job but they are simply far too expensive! I think i need to learn to do it myself 😬😬😬

If they're fitting and supplying manifold stubs and all the parts for a full service, then that's not a bad price.
