Re: Thundercat featured in MCN this week
I think some of you may have seen Yamaha Motor (or at least their PR company) had a posting on Facebook about Thundercats, asking owners for pics.
Those of you who are members of the FB group will know Adrian Smith, for those who don't know, he runs the Thundercat group page.Yamaha Motor wrote:THundercat THursday THrowback: Show us your 'Cats' and 'Aces'!
Steve Phillips wrote:Yamaha Motor, you have received quite a response to this. I can tell you as an Admin on the original UK Thundercat Forum (4th home now) and I'm sure Adrian Smith can say the same hosting the FB forum, this bike has attracted a certain type of rider - absolutely the nicest people you'd ever wish to meet. I can speak of the group on 'the' forum, none of the this and that and everything is wrong with the bike. At the time the critics said Yamaha got it wrong, as a former owner of two and a combined 100k miles+ between them, you didn't.
In a way I guess you wished you hadn't built such a bullet proof machine
Adrian Smith wrote: Totally agree
Yamaha Motor wrote: Great comments guys, fed back to the team at YMUK. Definitely an understated machine that will no doubt be a classic in the future!
