And for another taster I just found this video... it's a promo video for a hotel near the Ring but from about 1 min onwards it's mostly about biking in the region. Worth a watch if you're still on the fence

For the others... seeing as I haven't found anyone to take Oldcat's space I'll probably need to cancel the second double room. I'll give it until the week after Easter.

That would leave us with 2 blockhouses (4 people in each) which you can split up between you.

Since Paul had to pull out now too and it doesn't look like anyone will want to take his space I'll probably need to cancel one double and one single as that makes the most sense numbers wise...   

Bob, would it be ok for you to share one of the "Blockhouses" with some of the others? Any preferences who you'd want to share with?

Will call the hotel on Monday and cancel the rooms.

No preferences - just so long as they don't mind me going to bed early and monopolising the loo in the morning!

Though I'd be very happy to pay extra for a single as it wouldn't inconvenience (pun intended) others so much.

Have PM'ed Oldcat and MrFrance about the refunds   

About room allocations... I guess we can just leave it open until nearer the time or even do it when we get there...

Hi Thomas, I'm really sorry but I'm afraid I have to pull out. I am involved in a couple of local "shoots" and have just received the dates for September. Unfortunately 4 of the days clash with the Nurburgring run. If this leaves you out of pocket in any way please let me know. Once again sincere apologies. Terry

I'm afraid i have tried and tried but i just can't get the extra week off work i need to make this trip..
Really gutted about this but unfortunately I'm gonna have to officially declare myself out of this trip..
Hopefully someone else can take my slot...

Thomas, I can only apologize mate. I know how much effort goes into the planning of these things!

I just can't afford to take the time off in September to go to Nurburgring and then take time off again in October to be at home with Katie and the baby.

Sorry for the inconvenience, the track isn't going anywhere and will remain on my 'to do' list.

I'm still OK, but I would quite understand if you decided to cancel. We do seem to be getting down below "critical mass".

Either way, as you say,the decision needs to be made within the next few days.

Pam and I are still in, but understand if you need to call it off Thomas.
