OhNo Test Rideout

Post  mrfrance Thu Jun 27 2013, 22:03

Hi Guys,

I am going to test out a route I have mapped out which starts at Loomies and ends at what used to be George Whites in Swindon going via the famous Devizes road green smile

If this is successful (likely to make a few wrong turns) then I will post up for interest of anyone wishing to join for a proper ride out some other time.

I have posted the link below if anyone wants to take a look, it's 100 miles one way Shocked

Let me know when your planning to do the test, If i'm not working I can meet you at Devizes or Avebury for the final part of your run if you like. I'm based in Swindon so if youre unsure about our maze of roundabouts I could guide you through.

Hi Steve, I am looking to do this on Saturday. Alleycat should be joining me so just need to arrange at set off time. I will update tomorrow once I can work out roughly what times I'll be passing through those parts (I'll be doing the test regardless of Alleycat joining as long as the weather is decent).

I just ride straight across the maze and hope for the best Cool ...whoever thought of that thing should be shot lol

Hi Steve, I will be setting off around 10am, I have no idea how long it will take me, google maps reckons it's a 3 hour journey but will probably near half that.

If you do want to meet, is there any particular 'obvious' point we can meet? I don't know the area but can mark it on my map. Open to stopping anywhere as it's just me.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul
Afraid i'm pushing out 12 Hour nightshifts all this weekend, so doubt i'll be awake anytime before 3pm.
Have a safe ride and watch out for the hippies in Avebury.

Sorry I missed this, Paul, just got back from a couple of days away.

Let us know when you're planning the ride proper.

Cheers - Bob

Will do Bob, I didn't get round to to testing it in the end as I decided to take the bike apart and service it... perhaps next weekend I'll test it. Smile
