Bikes you've owned / borrowed or felt like they were yous
Started with a Suzi T500 (2 stroke twin), CM250 (mates but I was on it a lot), very large gap of years, CB500s (loved it..), Triumph Tiger 855i horrid hated it, Yam Thundercat (still have it), honda CB350sg winter hack called it the slug very comfy, DT175mx still have it still fixing it lovely smell and noise and its a hoot in back roads.
I keep thinking of changing the cat but its perfect for touring; got all the way to Italy and back last year.

1. NSU Quickly (2 speed and could just about keep up with the FS1E's).
2. BSA C15. Had that one from 17 till I was 21. My Dad then had it for another 30 years. Cost me £25. Dad sold it for about £1000 I think.
3. Had a break then till I was 40 ish. ER5 for 8 months.
4. Thundercat for 2 years.
5. CBR929RR Fireblade since 2002.
6. CB750F which I am in the process of restoring (very very slowly).

Yamaha XJ600 (50,000 miles, nothing worked on the dashboard but the engine was reliable and taught me a lot about bike maintenance!)
Yamaha Thundercat (what can i say?!)
Errrm... that's it!
I keep thinking about it too, but then I get on it and take it for a ride and wonder what else I would ever need?!

Re: Bikes you've owned / borrowed or felt like they were yous
First ever thing with two wheels and an engine I owned was a Vespa 50cc Scooter. dear oh dear.
Previous bikes were both strokers.
1) Yamaha RD350 YPVS - Which I blew up three times - the third being its very last.
2) Honda NS400R - Which rammed into a wall after I had disembarked at a corner on the Settle to Ribblehead road.
Had the cat since 2003, never wanted, needed or afford anything else.
