meteor? Last night
We are up near Liverpool this weekend for a wedding. Last night, after fighting the lords of the M5 and M6, we got a couple miles north of Sandbach about 22:50 and I saw what initially looked like a MASSIVE firework in the sky, but it was going east to west, not up.
It was magnificent, never seen anything like that before and probably won't again. I've seen meteor showers and shooting stars but this was mahoosive and you could clearly see the bits that were breaking off it too.
It was slow moving so no idea exactly what it was, shootkng stars are much smaller and quicker, Missus watched it for about 30-45 seconds as it went across the sky, I was bloody driving so couldn't really stare at it. Anyone else see it?
Hope it wasn't the fighter plane in space the Sun told us about years ago

Barman saw it last nite as well. Neither I or Les saw it as we were otherwise engaged. (having a meal!)
