Hi Huw,

Welcome to the site and congratulations on getting a 'cat. Very Happy
Glad to hear you're having fun. Treat her with respect and she'll do all you want of her.
If you want, tell us a bit more about your biking history - always good to hear others stories. And if you have any questions please ask. We'll help if we can.
Just had our annual trip around Wales. clappy Sorry you missed it. What are the roads on Anglesey like?

Cheers,
Chris

Roads on Anglesey are great! Stray away from the 'A' roads for best fun and of course a wary eye out for 'Go safe' vans!
I actually bought the Cat by accident, was looking at getting something for long distance touring like a GTR and was offered this 98, 21k mile Thundercat very cheap so couldn't refuse!
I also ride a 1977 CB750 four, last bike was a modified TRX850.

I'm on the large size with a 'dicky' back so prefer the more upright riding position but recently did a 300 mile trip with weekend camping gear and can't really fault the Thundercat for comfort.
I've been riding bikes on the road since I was 16 so not far off 30 years experience.

First question.... I've just tried to top up the oil....where the heck is the sight glass???! wall

Hi and welcome.

hope this helps in finding the oil sight glass, not the easiest of things to spot (#6 in the bottom pic), is further left than the line suggests, is the black 'blob' left of the line marked 7 in line with the bottom of the Y

Welcome to the site! Anglesey track is on my must do list for 2011 (although with funds being at a premium, that could become 2012!). I did a bikesafe course around the roads there and they are amazing!

As for the sight glass, this thread should reveal all (reveal all, do you see what i did there??? I'll get me coat...)
