where the bejesus is the oil level too? there is no dipstick (except me) and no oil window that i can find

oh but there is a window . . . . tiz on the right of the bike at the bottom bit of the engine . . . . hidden just by (almost behind) the lower fairing.

oh i see its a hunt the spy hole, great, i have been on my hands and knees in the garage, in the wet outside, swearing and cursing at the bike (it didnt take any notice)
i will take a look tomorrow now, if i dont find it, i will drill some holes in the side until oil comes out, that will do it

tiz about the size of a penny . . . so easy to miss

It's ALWAYS lower down than I remember it. It isn't on the most obvious bit of engine casing but on the lower bit, slight forward and underneath the engine. Grab a torch before looking.

And make sure the bike is upright

there an,t one so just drill the hole,s

ok drilled some holes, then found the sight glass, problem was no oil left in it now, so with some plastercine and gaffa tape all fixed

on a serious note, what a stupid place to put it but pleased to see oil level was fine another 1500 miles time for another service me thinks
