Due to a change in circumstances my bike is for sale

First topic message reminder :

Hi All,

I'm afraid it's come to this, but it's time to sell the bike Many of you will know this was the route I took after I gave up the Thundercat. It's been a fantastic 4 years and, despite my fondness for the 'cat, I have never regretted making the change. The mileage reflects all the rideouts arranged on this site! A pic and further details appear below. If you, or anyone else you know, want to see more look here.

Bottom line - £3795 ono. I shall be advertising it more widely in a couple of weeks, but I thought I'd give you all prior notice.

I've had the bike about 10 days now and it's very different from the 636. Still restricted to 5000 rpm which means I've been shaken to bits for 500 miles so far! The mirrors are largely useless; you need heat-resistant underwear (might try Oxford for that ) and its natural territory is not around town . It comes with underseat storage containing a 'toolkit' (Italian manicure set) and room for your sunglasses. . When ordering the bike I asked the salesman to go through the luggage options - that didn't take long! BC's going to be interesting . I am getting used to it. More practice required for BC; should be fine for the Big Mac - which is where is should come into it's own. Provided I don't lose my licence before then. Sticking to the speed limit is sooooooo hard

I know it's very black! I've told the neighbours it's an 'Evo Stealth'. They said it doesn't sound very stealthy!

Very nice mate.
At least I won't be the only duCATi on rideouts anymore.
Gotta get a set of termi's on it for the full noise effect!!
They do take a bit of getting used to. Always on the clutch around town. And very very easy to lose your license on. Like riding a firebreathing dragon and very very addictive. Enjoy.

It does'nt look like an Austin 7 to me ! and what about the final coat of lacquer?

Looks rubbish. I prefer the old one.

DBD - yep they tried to flog me the Termi's, but I love the sound just as it comes out of the box It didn't actually come in a box
Tes - it has a coat of lacquer and so far it's pretty easy to clean. Not tried removing clods of Scotland from it yet
Rosco - bring your asbestos underwear and the pile cream
yamahamad - what can I say , the headlight's much the same too
furball - yes!
Oldcat - it has a wet clutch, if it starts rattling I have a problem
Rosco - you keep your little blue pills to yourself
