It was VivaMoto but I think it was a case of them not doing due diligence. If your out to fake the mileage you wouldn't leave the first mot in you only leave the last one in. Just my opinion, but since I now have doubt, I can't touch it, so back hunting for the 'one' again.

I got to say I never thought I would give a GXSR a look, let alone buy one.

Shame that, nice looking bike.

Sgtbash (who we've not seen for some time), had one. Lovely machine, not as comfy as the cat - apart from the seat - sharper handling, slimmer . . . oh, and thirstier [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hmmm, I doubt it. I'd wager they weren't counting on someone as would actually look.

There's no way the dealer didn't know about the mileage, they will have been as diligent as you with the documents . . . caught with their pants down, well done you Clap . . . . . . .

Ahh, bet you're pissed off it wasn't as advertised, but glad you spotted the mis-representation. Well done you!
Hope you find what you're looking for - you deserve some good luck and a nice pair of wheels.
Hope to catch up with you sometime this year. Thoughts are turning to riding again - at last.
All the best,
Chris

That's a real shame John as it looks a proper nice bike. Glass half empty says luck not on your side but on the other hand glass half full says you spotted a discrepancy and even though the bike looks pretty tidy, managed to walk away. I take it that's it with this dealer now pal??

I'm sure the right bike is out there with your name on, you're doing well being so patient but I'm sure it's like banging your head against a brick wall.

Good luck mate Smile

Dealers are in it for the money , chances are they have now "accidentally misplaced" that mot certificate now that you pointed out the problem , but well spotted

Well spotted mate. I would give that dealer a bypass myself. They obviously don't do the proper checks. Which makes me think what else do they not do properly!!! Evil or Very Mad

It's been dropped on the right and the higher is broke, wouldn't budge on price though.

I still think that if they were trying to hide the mileage they would have taken the first MOT in the pile out and left the later ones in that started with 4Kish and worked up to the 6k. Doesn't make sense to leave it in.

They said when they have found out what gas gone on they will rework the price and call me. It means at the very least it has 15k+ on it.

It was tidy except for the rear shock being rusty in places but was thinking I could refresh that over winter. There was some touch up on the right so had been dropped while stationary.

Well, will see what comes of their call if I get one.

K5 or 6 would be nice but I am trying to keep to 2500 or less and can only pay card till my money comes in, so unless I have one with 35,000 or similar silly mileage it will have to be a K3.

The "Sold My Sole" title was because I've always ribbed the Gixxer for being the Vectra/ Mondeo of the bike world - wherever you go you see a bloody Gixxer. Did love the color scheme on this one and it sounded beautiful even with a standard can.

After 180mile round trip yesterday culminating in a disastrous hunt and then costing me a meal at the OK Diner on the way back, i've got 2 places round Grantham to check and then will go to Webbs to see the New Daytona650 and sulk while having a tea and bacon roll. wall

I always treat my bikes well so that they look after me.

However, local dealer does have a track day at Snetterton on April 22, that will be a good bonding session. Their hoping to have 3 instructors along as well.

Are you able to just come along and watch? If so may pop along as I know I'd fall off otherwise.
Will be back from a course at Southend that weekend (work) and the Cat's due a MoT then so will get that done early April when another number goes up on my profile. old
