I messaged Torsten on facebook today and asked how he was getting on :This is his and my brief conversation via email.

hi, yes im still in hospital, but since 2011/07/06 i am in hamburg near to my home. I dont know when i get out of the hospital...at the moment i am just in the bed, because i cant sit in a weehlchair at the moment.

Hi Torsten , I'm glad you are slowly making progress .Everone from the Thundercat club in the UK send their best wishes and hope you recover fully. Cheers , John. Is there anythinmg I can send you from thre UK ?!

So it looks like he is making progress which is great news , I didn't feel comfortable about asking specifics about his injuries , I thought the main thing was that he knows we are thinking about him .
