help the heroes ride at wootton basset

guys & gals just picked this thread up from the 2 wheels site
on the 14th march there is going to be a bike ride for help the heroes though wooden basset to the RAF station at lyneham with all funds going to the help the heroes it will cost £5 for the wristband which will allow entry to the RAF station the meeting place for the start of the ride is jun17 M4 eastbound at leigh delamere for anyone wanting to go i will be going its a sunday

I would definately be interested in doing this if i'm a) not working or b) even if i am then i'll try and get the time off.

Found this via google - for those others of you not on the 2 wheels site :-

"the ride will be starting at leigh Delamere service station J17 (eastbound)
of the M4.
please start arriving from 10.30am.
Each ride will pay £5 and receive an Afghan Heroes wristband, which will be there entry pass to RAF Lyneham.
The lead riders will be leaving at 12 noon promptly. the route will be along the M4 toJ16 before heading along to RAF Lyneham.
we are honored that they are opening the gates for us and refreshments will be available.
all those attending RAF Lyneham will require to pre register giving name,address,DOB and bike reg
This is to enable security clearance to be carried out by the RAF,
REGISTRATION CLOSES MONDAY 15TH FEBUARY 2010
any one that does not reg. WILL NOT be allowed onto RAF Lyneham.

registration will be through a secure site, this will be posted out on monday

i have got this info from Facebook i have emailed the organiser
and will keep you all informed as i get info

according to google its 191 miles for me to wootton bassett and about 3.5 hours by car - where's your sense of adventure Smile

as i said i will be going but will travel part way down sat & hopefully find a travel lodge near too to stop over night then finish it off the next day

yep saw that rate - Neil is going to come to so we've said we may just leave at 7 and ride down that day - if not i'll see if i can get us in there

if you are going to ride down on the day to the meeting point you can give us a call & we can meet up at the travel lodge so you can have a quick wash brush up or at the meeting point ready for the ride out have you get my moblie or as rob
