ok i have a new question that neither the internet or a garage can answer. will a faz600 exhaust fit on a cat? im aware that their practically the same but dont wanna spend hard erned pennies on a fzr exhaust only to find it dont fit. also does the year really matter in this case? replies b4 8pm tonight will b much app as thats wen the aucion runs out, ty guys

yeah have noticed that rusty thing hahaha, still dont know 4 sure if it will fit. :( so any1 else with the answer? something sooo simple surely cant b that hard to find out. help pls lol

A bit late replying I know. Sorry.

I don't really know the answer to the question but - the exhaust may look and fit the same but I think I'm right in saying that the FZR engine and the Cat engine are different, in which case the pulses and gases coming from the engine will be different which means that the internals of the exhaust should be different too. If the internals are different it could affect emissions and more importantly, the way the bike runs.

I stand to be corrected by someone more informed though.
