Where is Everyone?

It's a bit quiet on these forums now. Time of the year, maybe?

Re: Where is Everyone?
It always goes quiet over the winter, but sadly it it also pretty quiet in the summer too these days. Facebook and other social media had done for a lot of forums. Hopefully this one will stay afloat at least enough to arrange get togethers, if not for help, advice and experience sharing.
The other factor is that the Cat is getting long in the tooth and fewer people own them. It is now a cheap bike and a lot of the Facebook generation are picking them up.

Re: Where is Everyone?
As Weasley said.
Some of the forums I'm still on have less and less regulars every year.
(One of them hasn't been posted in in months)

Re: Where is Everyone?
Yep, my biking is dead from October to April.
Just waiting for the years get togethers to be announced and we shall be there attending.
Plus, anyone up for a visit to a trackday sometime?

Re: Where is Everyone?
As Weasley said many forums are struggling in the face of FB etc but I actually still prefer the format and it is easier to look up archived material etc.
Still write blogs for another forum, but that one (bikemeet.net) and this one are last two I really post on. Bikemeet has had only 10 posts this month despite some excellent content
This site still has the group gatherings to be the focus, but I am really missing BC this year.
I am willing to put something to together for that while Nick and Ellie take a well earned sabbitical
The best way to keep the forum alive is for people to post about what they have been up to bike wise I suppose!

Re: Where is Everyone?
Still here & still keep checking in & still the proud owner of the brilliant thundercat, it is 18 years old in april 32000 miles & still looks & rides how it did from new.
This winter i have stripped it down to clean as every winter, removed & refaced pads, cleaned calipers & changed brake fluid. got oil & filter to do anytime soon when the weather turns properly.
I did get out for a tootle on it yesterday for 50 ish miles & as usual ran faultless.
Paul

Re: Where is Everyone?
Not been on in a long time sorry all.
Still got the 'Cat and just turned 31k today. 22 years old and 160 miles done today with a new lady as pillion.
I've missed the riding and so glad I'm back on the bike more.

Occasionally check the site, but the cat was sold in 2017.
Still wish I'd kept it.
