Gwynedd Motorcycles Thundercat for sale LOL

Saw this posted on Facebook and had to comment that I thought it was expensive, felt the public should be aware but it appears they didn't like my comment, replied with an insult and then deleted all comments, thought I'd put it out there on the number one Thundercat forum for comment, I think it's a rip off, 18 year old bike with 40k Miles on the clock for £2500, I think my comment was justified, at that price you'd want every possible mod and upgrade done, please feel free to discuss. To be fair someone shared the post to a page I follow and I didn't think the comment would go into the advert but I stick by what I said.

Not sure what mine eventually went for, asking price was more than that - but it was 5 years younger, clock showing lower mileage (in line with the engine) and the dealer did take a good few months working on it in the workshop. It did look mint when in the showroom. They put a 12 month warranty on it. Still thought it was a bit steep, it sat in the shop for a bit then I noticed it had gone, so someone thought it was worth it.

The usual mantra, let the buyer be aware. Dealers will be adding more, in part to cover come backs - even so I'd have thought 1800 being an upper price tag from a shop.

I do wonder if prices for pre-Euro-compliant bikes have bottomed out and started to rise again. There's actually a lot to be said for a machine that can be worked on and doesn't need a load of diagnostic software on a laptop to sort out. And generally insurance is cheaper for a 'classic' than something more modern too.

I don't know whether bikes from the 90's and early 00's will rocket up in value like the earlier stuff has, though I think that certain 'iconic' bikes (hate that term) such as early R1's and Blades are already appreciating. Maybe start investing now? It could pay better dividends than a savings account (not difficult!)

Of course if you live or work in central London (or anywhere else that might become a ULEZ) it's a different matter.
