Hi all Empty Hi all

Post  BikerKev52 Mon Nov 28 2016, 14:46

Bought myself a 1999 cat a few weeks ago, nice and cheap and only 10 minutes from home. My intention is to use it to get to and from work on a semi regular basis ( I'll use the car if it's p@&;:/ ing down or icy!).
Had a few big bikes before, GSX750f, Harley 1200C, and a CBR600f, but not had one for a couple of years.

My new toy is red, bit high mileage at 61 odd thousand, but no problems with second gear, has obviously been looked after, and goes like the clappers!

I may put it in the shed if weather gets bad, but as I don't mind the cold so much I might not, it's a daily choice then!

Previous owner pointed me in your direction, tho don't know if he joined

Seen a cat or two down here since I've got mine, we're quite a friendly bunch aren't we? Lol

Don't have anyone to go on regular rides with, but will be doing the famous Martin Jennings run next September, hundreds of bikes going around Cornwall, with a blast back down the A30 and finishing up in Falmouth.

Happy biking everyone

Hi & welcome to the site. The Thundercat will be very similar to the Cbr 600f & I'm sure you will love it.

Thanks for welcome,
it is similar to the cbr, but feels bit bigger, and doesn't feel like I'm thrashing it at A road speeds, I'm very pleased so far

Welcome Inn Kev, my mum lives in Falmouth so looks like I might be down for that run in September. Checkout the info pages on what too look out for and what you could possible do to your cat to jazz it up a bit.

Welcome aboard Kev.
My first big biking trip was to Falmouth to see the solar eclipse in 1998? I think.

Hope you enjoy the site and the bike.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum, enjoy the Cat they are good bikes, had mine for 10yrs with very little problems. If you're going to do the Jennings run (which is a good ride and well organised) also do the Plymouth Mega ride that's a massive ride out every year, give yourself plenty of time to get there as it is very, very crowded.
