Re: Rosco's New Steed
Well, Davie, I'm absolutely bereft. Its a real minter, the guy has also given him what appear to be brand new leathers, colour coded with the bike. The whole ensemble looks a million dollar's OK in 3 years time it will come down to Rosco's standard of tat, but what the hell am I going to do for the next 3 years!

That's a compliment Terry. Brought a tear to my eye.

She's an 1998 S REG (very slightly newer than my R 1998 that is no more)
Previous owner is a member on here and a good friend of mine.
Just over 3 years ago I actually test rode it for Neil just before he passed his test and since then he's cleaned and polished it, cleaned the carbs and pimped the wheels.
So I'm now the very happy new owner of this 8K mile peach of a Thundercat.
Going home tomorrow and I'll be giving her a clean.
So far I've put new front Hagon springs and 10W fork oil, oil, oil filter and air filter change.
Still need to balance the carbs (was getting a bit of numb right hand) and change the spark plugs.
Was a bit unsure after riding to New Lanark in the rain but settled in well and was riding her just like the old steed in no time.
Love her to bits and going to try and keep her clean and rubber side up.
Cheers
Rosco

Looks great. How do you rate the Hagon shock? My 30,000 mile cat is still on the original Yamaha unit

Re: Rosco's New Steed
Saw it in the flesh for first time today and i must admit it is a timewarp bike......Nice to see an old cat in such excellent condition...good find Ross!!!
It even got a few comments out and about today about how good nick it is in for its age.....and it appears to be very good on fuel ( once we were sure the fuel light did actually work)

Re: Rosco's New Steed
156 miles before the fuel came on.
Delighted.
Seems to get about 20-30 miles more range than auld faithful.
