track day
Just to let everyone know, Chris had an accident yesterday at Silverstone, He is currently in Cambridge hospital, from what Katie tells me its not too serious, but serious enough. He has badly injured his right hand, and was due to have a skin graft op. today. As and when I know more, I'll post up.

Re: track day
Blimey, hope I didn't leave a bad omen there as I going around and around the joint last Wednesday.
Hopefully, it's a good recovery and that it's not too much of a op on his hand. No issues with his right shoulder I hope.

Re: track day
The most frightening corner on the track because of the speed you can do.
140+mph straight, brake, drop to 3rd to keep the revs at 10k then throw the bike in and power round.
Sore arse on landing? Really sorry to hear about your incidence Chris.

Re: track day
Haha, sore EVERYWHERE mate! God knows how those racer lads do it week in, week out!
Yeah, it's a big balls corner. Blind entry too. Rear spun up just as I tapped on the power at the apex.
Once I've edited the footage I'll pop it up.

Re: track day
Yeah I missed my braking point on that corner once ( just trying to eek out that bit more, as you do ) and ended up just over shooting that corner and luckily, there's tarmac on the run off.
Many of times I just prayed for my tyres to not let go.
How's the bike looking? ( it's a man thing! )

Chris had a big op today should have been 4 hours, apparently it was six. Katie says he will never have proper use of his thumb again, and lost the tip of his ring finger, let you know more as and when.

Re: track day
Best wishes for a quick recovery, and I hope any lasting damage doesn't curb your enthusiasm too much.
With my ageing body I tend to be a bit (read much) more cautious around there than the speeds you'd be doing - think back row of inters. But it's still a huge adrenaline rush circuit. Hope you get back there soon.

Aye, still in Cov. Hopefully out tmw, depending on what state my arm is in once they remove the dressing in the morning.
Thanks for the offer Tony but I'm piss-poor company at the minute. Full of morphine, sore and sleepy.
