Time for some Brit Pride
I figured that since the country is in the crapper, the economy isn't great, the government are losing the plot and our national teams are taking a pounding I'd try and restore a bit of Brit pride. I've taken the plunge big time and gone and bought myself a Triumph Tiger 955i in Tigger Orange. It'd been on my mind a while, and especially since the last rally I went on that my Blade, whilst a more than capable tourer, wasn't designed to be loaded up with tents, sleeping bags, airbeds and the like and then ridden to all corners of the country in fields to spend damp weekends away, it's designed to me loaded up with fuel and spanked round the best A-roads the country has to offer. (Plus I'm no longer as young as I used to be and folding myself into it after a weekend in a field wasn't pleasant either!!)
Some of you have already been introduced but without further ado I'd like to introduce Tigger.

Nice.
I like the backdrop.
Did they use that special paint from ACME that lets Roadrunners pass through, but stops Coyote's dead in their tracks?

Would love to Ross but I have no holidays for next year, I get very few as it is but they're already spoken for I'm afraid.Rosco wrote:Hello Tigger.

Re: Time for some Brit Pride
My dad has one, the last of the round twin headlight models with full tour pack. He had it brand new on a '04 plate. He loves it, though if someone offered him the right money he would sell it as he wants to do more touring and prefers his Harley for that...

Re: Time for some Brit Pride
We are getting on okay Tony, not had the time or weather to get out properly but we are on our usual February rally in a couple of weeks so she will be fully explored then. Through the kindness of strangers on FB have managed to score a full pannier set, racks rails and Locks for very little money and have replaced the silencer on her so she sings that triple burble.Radar wrote:How are you getting on with the big Triple Steve?
I'll let you know how we get on, on a decent trip.
