good afternoon all
im soon to enter my late 30's (45....)
always hankered after a bike. after many years ive decided to book my bike test........
i know nothing about bikes other than "thats a nice colour" and "ooohh, that looks nice"........
after drooling over ebay, gumtree, autotrader etc ive decided on a thundercat. ive read lots of reviews and buyers guidesnetc and deecided this bike will be the one for me.
i look forward to posting some pics when i get my licence and take the plunge with a purchase.

Hello and Welcome bigjay,

As said above 'good choice of bike indeed'. Glad you have done your research on your preference of 1st bike. Good luck with your bike training and test.

Don't let yourself be put of by others now with horror stories on your choice of machine. For every one you hear (on whatever bike), there is another about 'their' bike too.
If you hear of the "second gear problem" on the Cat, being common, shrug it off because it's an urban myth. Yes it occurs but very seldom in comparison to the amount of Thundercats out there.

Keep us up to speed on your progress, and in any case keep visiting the forums and get comfortable with the place. You'll get to know a great deal more about the Cat by reading the threads in the workshop area, and about us in the something for the weekend and senate sections.

Cheers
