Is my V5C right? Empty Is my V5C right?

I sent my V5 back to the DVLA advising them of my address change, a few days later my new certificate arrives -great - quick glance to make sure my name, address and reg are right and I file it away.

Today I get a letter sent the old address advising me I am no longer the keeper or the bike has been scrapped Evil or Very Mad

On closer inspection of the V5, I see I acquired the bike on 1/6/2009 and I am also the previous keeper at my old address with the real acquisition date. Is this right?

I am the worlds worst at filling in forms, and I suspect I have confused the life out of them, by doing one of my usual form fill specials. I filled in sections 6 and 8 and didn't tick New Keeper!

You had me going there for a minute, scouring the wrong document!!

Yip the Driving license does have A.

I did the license when I moved. Completely overlooked the V5. Used to the way it's done down below, tell 'em once and it all gets updated.

Will give Swansea a call. Think they had enough of me when I transferred my license from SA, somewhere my (SA) photocard license got lost in the system, so I was sent a Provisional license. I went 'mildly' ballistic with them - was sorted quite quickly.

Oh Crap....did you get a good price?

No idea how to fix.......I'm it's not the 1st nor will be the last time this has happened with the DVLA forms.
Hope they get it sorted for you with minimal fuss.

Hopefully see your bike in a couple of weeks now.

Cheers

No, I literally gave it away, mind you I managed to pick up a very nice thundercat for nothing!

:o Went to the bike shop Saturday to book the service and MOT tentatively for last Tuesday - wasn't sure if I'd have to go to Nairobi Tues afternoon.
'Oh no problem' says the owner, 'you can drop it off and if you don't come in the afternoon, I'll sell your bike'.

'That's nice' I say without flinching, 'I didn't say I'd give you any money ' he teases. After seeing the letter today, I'm not so sure he hasn't ponder
It sure seemed like my bike I rode out of there yesterday!

Sorted it out. It was quite simple what I did wrong ..

Silly me went and put my name in the name and address section. We're supposed to only write in the bits that have changed. What a Face Arrgh!! told you I was rubbish with forms.
I suppose I can expect a letter from HM Revenue and Customs now wanting to know where their VAT is on the sale
:(

Thanks for the replies, I gauged from them things weren't right and I needed to make the call.
