Emergency contact info
I know this has been discussed before, but I couldn't quickly find the thread. It's about the topic of emergency contact information - there was a discussion on various "ICE" options, but of course the issue faced was that if a phone is locked then you can't access any contact information in it.
I have just updated my iPhone to iOS 8(.0.2) and this comes now with the "Health" app, inside which is a place to keep ICE data (eg your photo, DoB, height, weight, medical conditions, blood group, emergency contact number(s) ect). This data can be accessed by anybody from the lock screen.
Just thought I'd mention it.

Re: Emergency contact info
I'm still sticking with the card in my wallet. Nothing to do with safety of information.
I don't go anywhere without my wallet and my wallet doesn't run out of battery

Re: Emergency contact info
Yes I have that in my phone, a simple piece of card in your pocket or wallet is as good as anything.
The rideout at the weekend I invited people to write down any details they wanted me to have, then I destroyed it after the rideout.
Simples.
As I've said million times before, the emergency services don't give a flying flip about your next of kin, that's the job of the police at a later stage.

I also carry my wallet with my driving licence and a blood group card.
