Hi from Greece
Hello everybody, my name is Chris and I've recently owned a cat, it's an '98 lady and still purrs with orange silver black stock colors. She needed some time to restore the beaten years she had, I'm still working on some minor problems. I've finished cleaning the tank from rust using the electrolysis method, I had some biased results. I'll need to get new Decals from her side fairings as well and some reflective orange rim Decals. So far I've made some modifications like the on off fan switch, added a black tinted double bobble screen and some aesthetics finishes. Also I've added a pyramid fender extender, pyramid tank cover and bought a new tank bagster that unfortunately came black and not as mentioned silver black model. I'm considering to make so more upgrades in the future but for now I think she's ready for the road. I'm starting licence lessons soon and the cat needs registration and insurance to resume her journey. The previous owner was my brother and now I'm taking care of her as he lives abroad now and he had bought a new bike. I'm reading the forums for some time now but I wasn't actively involved until now a member asked me to join the introduction page, so here I am ☺

Re: Hi from Greece
Forgot to mentioned that I changed the rebound damper and spring, and set the stock factory settings on front and rear rebounce and stiffness, also bought some fairings missing like the v orange cowl fairing and the inner front black and right silver fairings that had cracked. I'm always in the look for a pair of decent side fairings as well, but these will do for now. I'll post photos of the bike when ready.

Hadn't realised you had signed up a few years ago, makes sense now how you found me on Flickr!
Glad you have popped by to say Hi.
All the best with your bike lessons and test.

Re: Hi from Greece
Dried the gas tank today.
Tomorrow I will take it at work and give it a good air blow, then fill it up with gas and see if she purrs again. I have cleaned the air filter (K&N), changed the oil filter (K&N) and replaced the oil with half synthetic Castrol 10w40 (got 4 bottles)
