Post  The White One Sat Sep 06 2014, 17:52

Thought I would introduce myself before getting stuck in.

Been riding for a number of years now and owned a number of bikes from my first Aprillia RS125 to a CBR600F up to an 06 Aprillia RSVR.

Gave up biking for a year (not my choice) BooBoo

Now been back riding for about 18 months and went for something a little more tame and opted for the cat. My first "big bike" was a toss up between the cat and the CBR600F. First time round the Honda won but not this time lol. green smile

Going to upload some pics of my Cat with a few of the mods I have done. Give me your honest opinion on the one mod I was hesitant on. Its marmite i think but I'll wait to see what you guys think

Looking forward to getting to know all of you and maybe come on some of those ride outs.

So LED lights, colour changing, remote controlled. Took a while to solder and fit as arrived in a 5 meter strip. Carbon Micron race can, stainless steel headers. Paint scheme completed by previous owner but thinking of changing. Used to be red. Braided brake lines, Rebuilt the calipers when I got her. Found a mod to replace rear shock with that of a 2006/7 R6 shock. Recently replaced all clutch internals with EBC plates, steels and uprated springs. New EBC brake discs on order. 36000 on the clocks and still going strong.

Please be gentle lol left thumb up or thumb down

Hi Paul and welcome - liking the LED's.
Good luck riding at night though.
Colour scheme looks good, bike looks pretty clean too.

I've had the LED's on the bike for about 2 months now. Was a bit hesitant with what the police would say but havent been stopped once. Only ride with the green though as know they would stop me if i had the blue on.

Bike is very clean but want to strip and powder coat the frame and swing arm matt black.

That bike looks strangely familiar, glad to see you've made it onto the site mate and even happier that the bike is still with you and going strong. Smile

Yes still going strong put 11000ish on her since I picked her up. Down pipes and exhaust rusted out so had to replace. Apart from that no issues with her whatsoever. Great little bike. Got a hayabusa on order but keeping the little Cat for my daily commute. Hope you don't think I ruined your paint scheme with the LEDs lol. Had quite a few peoe aiming for me when it gets dark so it was more of a safe to be seen mod lol

Novel idea. Seen many a car, and the odd bike on Cyprus with that sort down lighting. Must admit though, it looks good left thumb up
