Lifting the cat.. Empty Lifting the cat..

Post  sean88 Sun Nov 10 2013, 19:14

Hi all

I need to do some work on the forks but don't have a centre lift. Is there a particular one I should be looking at?

Cheers for any advice

If I were you I'd invest in an Abba stand with front lift, they are pricey new but you can get a bargain off eBay and they literally are a stand for life, you can buy adapters to fit any bike and they're a lot more sturdy than front fork lifts and paddock stands

+1 for Abba. I have the normal Thundercat adaptors plus the ones to lift the bike on the footrest hangers if you need to remove the swing arm spindle - you can borrow these if you want.

Thanks both, the abba sportsbike package looks pretty good. I may have to invest in one. Thanks for the offer as well Bob I'll give you a shout if I need to borrow the adaptors!
Cheers,

The front lift arm add on looks quite nifty, might get one to fit onto my abba.
