Hi there!
Hello all, my name is Rob. I've owned a P regd Thundercat for about five years now, though for the last two it's been in storage. Just got it over to where I live and I guess the fun starts here!

Re: Hi there!
ho rob and welcome!!
re the starting, stupid I know but is the kill switch on? you might have a faulty side stand switch ? again silly thing but check its not in gear!!
when you turn the key is there a ticking noise? this noise is the fuel pump priming so if theres no ticking that could be a root of the issue.
Do you get any lights come on when you turn the key, if you dont, try going over the battery terminals and leads with a wire brush helps get a nice clean connection.
and finally (this is where my knowledge runs out here..) when you prod the starter is the choke fully on or not?
sorry if some of that is really simple stuff, but might be something there that helps you out. if not I am sure someone with more brains than me we be along shortly!

Re: Hi there!
ay up Rob,
Welcome to the forum. Hope you get your starting woes sorted soon, so the fun really can start.
Some good things to check written above. I'd like to add to the mix . . . make sure the fuel is fresh too . . . old fuel that's been stood to long looses it's Oomph, as well as gumming up yer carbs.
Enjoy surfing the forums
Cheers

Re: Hi there!
Thanks for the welcome and also the advice guys. When I say the bike is dead, I mean nothing; no lights or anything, like it's a totally dead battery even though the charger says it's fully charged. Time to call in someone who knows methinks.
If anyone's about tomorrow, I'm meeting up with some mates at Lynns Raven cafe on the A41. I'll be on a Cagiva (if that starts!)
