KTM 990 Adventure - £4950

KTM 990 Adventure, 2008 58 plate, 33,000 miles, I've owned it from new.

Selling with panniers, touring HCR scottoiler, GPS bracket, fenda extenda, parts diagrams in print (A3 & A4) & pdf, KTM service manual in (very mucky) A4 print & pdf. I'll throw in a load of consumables too, spark plugs, oil, gaskets etc.

All other accessories available seperately.

KTM main dealer service history from 08-11 and home serviced since. Loads on info and receipts available.

Yeah, replacement is in the pipeline but I need to get shot of the KTM first, if I leave it much longer it'll be too late to get a decent price.

Thats a heck of a lot of bike for not much money. Chris if i was about 2 inches taller i'd be looking to make you an offer bud..

I am plenty tall enough and would love it but I'm short of 4k lol.

Cheers guys, suprising how little interest I've had. Been fielding emails from a couple of people from KTM forum but eveyone has a whinge about the mileage. No joy at all from MCN advert, £20 wasted.

The dealer I spoke to about part ex value said that average annual mileage for a UK bike is around 3000!

It'll be on the 'bay if it doesn't sell soon.

Sorry to hear that Chris, thought you would sell quite quickly. It would seem that majority of British Bikers are lite weights.

A 2007 model sold for £4500 on eBay but apart from that and a 2011 model they don't appear to be a big seller at the moment. I'd have thought your best hope would lie with a dealer trade in but that's clearly not the case.

Suppose you could stick it on eBay as a auction with no reserve and see what interest you gauge, if it doesn't reach a price you're happy with pull the auction.

It's a nice bike at the end of the day!!

It's on pistonheads now, we'll see how that goes till Thurs/Fri then on eBay for the weekend.

Once had a guy phone me over a car I was selling saying I was being unfair not dropping the price £2500 grand because he liked my car but didn't have enough money, I gently suggested he f#ck off and look for a cheaper car!!

When I sold my (totally knackered) car I had some clown from Bradford phone up and offer me less than the current highest bid!

What you replacing the barge with? Will it eat tyres the same? One wheel or two?

Happy it's sold, sad coz it was an ace bike. Wish I could have kept it.

Not sure what or even when the replacement will be, details to follow as they become available.....
