Hi all I was having a look on ebay for some good old upgrades etc for my cat and I have noticed that there is someone selling headlight projectors.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-YZF-600-R-THUNDERCAT-HEADLIGHT-PROTECTOR-/261062790959?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3cc88e0f2f#ht_2047wt_1186

My question is are these legal as he is selling a wide choice of colours. In my mind I cannot see how all the colours are legal.

If anyone could help that would be great this is my first post so please feel free to help a guy out thanks.

They're only for day time use, at night the standard headlight is so bad anyway that you'll never see anything if you leave it on. Had one on mine, used it during the first summer but not since.

Quite, regardless of legality not sure why anyone would wish to make themselves less visible on the road...

Hi the ones I am looking at are transparent, so if I had red protector say the light beam I would get would be red etc.

But reading the comments I have got think it will be easier just to avoid them all together

I would fella otherwise the police could seize your bike if you don't take the warnings. The highway code states a White light to the front and red to the rear so I'd be careful
