Thundercat givi rack
Hi all, looking for a givi rack and box to make my 'cat' a bit more flexible for weekend trips. Anyone got anything sitting in the garage?

Re: Thundercat givi rack
Sorry no. I've got the Ventura system for mine, brackets cost a bit as they have to be custom made for the cat unless you can pick up a second hand set on EBay but apart from that you can pick up the luggage itself etc really cheap compared to new from the Hein Gericke eBay store.
There's loads of different combinations and as and when you change your bike you just need new brackets as they're bike specific. Details here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Thundercat givi rack
Depending on what your doing. some of the lads i know when going touring simply bought a second hand seat and bolted a top box onto the rear seat itself, simply drill through and affix the box where the pillion would sit, Means you dont have the weight out of the back of the bike lifting the front but its only any use if your not taking a pillion with you

Re: Thundercat givi rack
At the time I bought mine the cheapest place I found was calamander.co.uk
Good luck in the search for a cheaper 2nd hand set though.

I bought a Givi rack for the Cat recently and fitted it in time for BC4. £87 delivered. I already had the box.
Very happy with it.
Webmoto I think it came from

Whilst we're at it then, last year I got a Nonfango rack, plate and topbox off eBay for around £80.

Re: Thundercat givi rack
Thanks guys, opened up a few more options for me. Failing that, i'll put my engineer's cap on and make something out of coathangers, sticky tape and old bottle tops

That's a Blue Peter cap not an engineers cap

Touché...and that would be a Blue Peter badge, not a cap
