Brother-in-law is having to bail as he has a prior engagement on the Friday that he forgot and his wife has reminded him about. Suggested an early Saturday morning but he will be back too on the Friday.

Have made it as far as Grantham Honda for a Tea stop. As soon as I got to the A1 south of Ripton the clouds broke and the sun shined.

Thanks to Terry and second Snowcats comment about Rosie. Don't thing there will be anyone wanting to join Dave on one of tithe rideouts in the future, what with his record so far.

We all got home half an hour ago too. Thank you to everyone for a great weekend and for making Ewan (our little Thundercub feel welcome and helping to keep him amused with us. I am sure he will have his own little motorbike as soon possible ).

As usual, it was a great weekend and Rob enjoyed the rideout.

Well done to Rozy for getting back on the bike and hope you don't feel too sore.

Hope everyone has a safe journey home and we are looking forward to Wee Mac already.

I only turned up briefly but would like to say a big thanks to Chris an Tel for sorting out everything. Nice to see some new people and some old too (cue comments!).. Apologies for ducking out early but my back was a bit raw and no way could I have managed full distance. HUGE credit to Rosie for getting back on and manning up from what was the biggest off I have ever seen! That girl is a tough one, we were fair trekking on when it all went pear shaped. Glad she is ok.. Looking forward to wee mac, bring it on!

Well, after dropping Rosco off I got back at around 12. Just in time for a quick shower, change, pack and off on the train to Aberdeen! I'm shattered!

Big thank you to everyone who came, was another cracking weekend and I'm looking forward to the next one. (Hopefully back on 2 wheels!)

just thought I'd check in got back at 6, rozy got back safe and sound if a tad achy and sore not long after me in gloucester.

Thanks all for a great weeked, androzy would like me to pass on her thanks to all of you for helping her out after her disagreement with the cattlegrid.

the bike ran fine all the way home with no mishaps at all.

Even although my bike died and Rozy's had a near death experience it was still a great weekend.
Had a great laugh.
Great to see faces new and old.

MrNutt's friends must be queuing up for the '3rd time lucky' Rideout.

Any advice on cleaning oil off a rear tyre???
It has been on it for 24 hrs and soaked in.

I've never wanted a winter project and now I've got one.

Afraid to say that tyre may me knackered Ross, think you have to clean it off immediately to save it. Think it penetrates and degrades the rubber making it a ticking time bomb.

Think it may add to the expense but I'd be replacing it to be on the safe side.

I have the answer, soak in parrafin (copious amounts mind) stand well back and chuck a box of Swan Vesta's at it!

I like all these owners of "newer bikes" having a pop at your old, dirty and unloved bike. How many of their bikes not only tells you when an oil change is due but actually starts the process itself. You've had her so long she has learnt that if anything needs doing, she does it herself. Your bike is just all grown up mate
