chain tensioners
hi guys
Just got the cat through the MOT.Gets harder each year.In truth I had to do a bit of work but all I bought was a new rear tyre.It was a Pirelli and I got 7000 miles off it was good for another 1500 but the tester did not agree.I thought it was close so I tried cutting a bit more tread but he saw through that straight away.Seriously though I broke the plate that the chain tensioner screws through the little rectangle plate at the end of the swing arm on the chain side.It snapped in half as I removed it.I managed to bodge it and got it through the MOT.I was wandering if anyone has one of these,or at least knows what it is called so I can look on fleabay etc.Bit tricky asking for a plate thing.

Re: chain tensioners
There's a used pair on eBay...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-YZF600-YZF-600-R-THUNDERCAT-REAR-WHEEL-CHAIN-TENSION-ADJUSTERS-1998-/380418651231?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5892b7f45f
Not sure if you can buy the end plate on it's own.
