Replacing the throttle grip Empty Replacing the throttle grip

Post  Guest Mon Feb 13 2012, 16:17

Bike due for a 28K service but I'm doing the basic bits n bobs before then to keep costs down. Dismantled throttle assembly to lube the cables and decided to clean it all up while I was at it. Now I have, should I grease up the throttle grip before I put it back on the bar? Was thinking I should and was gonna use the same grease as I use for the wheel axles. Any advice?

Not sure if it's necessary, but I'd use a silicone based spray rather than grease.

Yeah, that actually makes sense - less mess and chance of attracting dirt. I have some spray in the works van, handily enough. Thanks
