Ok so after a bit of a faff with crashing and having a whole front end rebuild and lots of things repainted, again many thanks to Nick for all his help. The cat needed a final handful of decals added to finish the bike to the standard it was before, got some ebay specials for £8! and I think they are pretty dang good for the price, especially compared to the official ones!

Here are some before and after pics, looks ok I think given I am usually useless at stuff like this but spent a few hours this afternoon lying on my back on my drive, underneath the bike looking a bit of a Pratt, sadly no photos of that though Laughing

cheers! Very Happy

It was one of the things that drew me to the bike, not many paint schemes like that around.
Looks even better now everything is original on it, except the loud exhaust!

I would have liked to have got hold of one in that spec. My mate has just bought a set of those fairings from China and they really are good for the cash. I bought the tank cover from him in black, but haven't used it yet. It really is good quality and he had no issues with putting any of the panels on,so I might do a complete change of colour over the winter. Smile Smile

when I was rebuilding mine after crashing it (well nick was rebuilding it, I was buying parts Smile ) I thought about those aftermarket fairings, but found a good set of originals on ebay, as I couldn't stretch to the cost of the chinese full sets, though if I were ever to go on track days and had more cash I would think about them as a spare set to use and keep the originals for road use.

phew, glad there is a difference, was getting worried there, the decals were ebay specials and would highly recommend them, not quite exact yamaha copies but pretty close for £8 a set
