Thundercat in pieces - Page 2 Empty Thundercat in pieces

Post  thunder-ol Sun Dec 25 2011, 14:47

First topic message reminder :

Hi All. My thundercat is in pieces being sold for spares. Should be on ebay in next couple of days so shall post a link. Condition is mediocre for most parts, planning on repairing bodywork and priming it for sale. Black, silver, orange, some pieces are okay. MIcron exhaust with a couple of dents, stainless steel downpipes 2 yrs old. She is completely stripped now, DVLA has acknowledged as scrapped, not sure if this means engine can be sold or not, but happy to pick it to pieces as required! More info and photos to follow shortly, thought I would see if anyone here needed anything first?

Got the grab handles today. One was ok the other one has a great big scrape down it and is splitting apart, so they are worse than the ones I have. Thanks anyway.
Dave.

Dave,

I have two. A bit grubby but no splits or scrapes, I think. I'll have to dig them out but do you want them? I'll pm piccies if needed.

Rich.

Welcome to the forum scottie Thumb Why not drop by the "new members welcomes" section and say hello ? I'm sure you'll get a warm welcome from the brethren Smile
As for the headlight. I Think you'll find as there were only "Minor" changes to the cat from it's build run (96 - 03 Europe - 07 USA), the headlight was not one of the changes. So any years headlight will fit all variants inc. the 03 to 07 USA bikes. You just need to make sure you get one that dips the correct way for the UK MOT . . . . . I stand to be shot down on that one though Wink

Afraid it's at the mercy of Ebay now, it is Europe/US spec anyway.

Do you have the engine head?

Dont need cams or carbs. Just the head/exhaust manifold.

thanks
