Hi,
Check that the new plugs are all working and gapped correctly.
It is not un-common for new plugs to be faulty!

Could be fuel or electrical problems. You could start by checking the coils as per the specification in the haynes manual.

Re: misfire and wont idle
Has it suddenly developed or did it happen after the bike's been idle for a few weeks? If it's the latter, I'd go for a fuel-related cause first, e.g. blocked idle jets as suggested. Just putting fresh petrol in doesn't clear out the goo that forms in the jets when ordinary 95-octane evaporates off.

Thanks for letting us know, well done for sorting it out.
If I may ask a stupid question, the stuck needle any idea why or how this could have happened?

Brill - Glad you got it sorted.
So what makes a needle stick and more importantly how do you unstick it?
Cheers
