Some of the bikes im busy with at the moment, for myself. Having checked out the pics elsewhere,im almost frightened to post my stuff,as you's lot look very conservative with bike mods! I suppose its not a bad thing,as i plan to keep my thundercat standard.

Im in two minds as to what to do with the EFE? I was planning on doing the build in 2 stages, standard efe paint, turbo, white wheels, long swingarm and just ride it,and then for stage 2,fit wide yokes a 6x17 split rim wheel with 1 90 tyre up front and a 12.5x17 330 tyre out back. Im tempted to go to stage 2 straight away. green smile

I tend to be always busy with something when bikes are involved. One of my hobbies with bikes is paint. Im not sure if this is the right place to post these ones, but it all comes down to my projects,so here goes.
Ive not loaded videos here before,so you might have to click pic to watch??

From blasted bare metal to finished in 3 days. It wasnt my tank, but shows an example of my painting abilities! green smile

That was a tatty GSXR tank, which to be hoinest,i wouldnt have used myself. I offered to paint another tank if the owner picked one up in ok condition, but think the bike was sold soon after.
At least getting back to a YAMAHA now, heres some pics/vids of my mates FJ11 trike I painted up. I used a silver base coat, followed by small-ish silver metal flake, before candy tangerine and finally a hi-solid clear coat to give a shine.
The first video(click the pic to watch!)is of a panel with the silver flake alongside a candied panel for comparison.

Im not a pro, just a hobby painter. When im painting,i want to machine things on my lathe or milling machine, and when im machining i want to paint. Getting a good balance with stuff so as to not get fed up is tricky. green smile

Amazing stuff - both the project builds and the paint jobs!
I have enough trouble just changing the oil and as for my spray painting - just grim.

LOL,i have enough trouble just trying to find the oil sight glass to check the oil on my thundercat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a bad design on the cat. Rolling Eyes
The only good thing i can see about the clutch cover (where id expect the oil glass to be !!),is its not a stepped design like my FJ12,and would be very very easy to modify with a windowed clutch cover.
And then i could fit the spare R6 swingarm thats collecting dust........

NO!!! Im not modifying it!!!!

But thanks for kind comments. green smile

Nice pictures and vids and some excellent work - I cope with Polyfilla & Dulux (or cheap equivalent) every so often but haven't had to use them on the bike yet.

I guess that is Dixie the dog in your pic / video.

Does Dixie ride the bike?

Very nice , especially the big fat rear tyre (I'm a vmax owner and the front and rear wheels are often changed for very much larger ones Smile)

I love to see v-maxes with fat wheels. Only problem is,they get modified to be different, but then all look the same! But id love one,if i was rich!!! Ive a bit of a collection of tyres, and presently i have 5 240 tyres,3 16 inch ones and 2 18's. Ive mounted one of the tyres on a 9inch wide alloy aftermarker car wheel (£20 or so),and just need to make hubs for it. green smile

Again on the fat tyre look,i think this would look good from behind.

Next to tyres, wheels are needed,I bought some ferrari f40 wheels (3 piece split rims),split them to make a really wide stupid wheel. Dont ask me why.................

Today im off to the stainless steel suppliers to check pre made bends,so i can TRY(!!!)to make an exhaust system for the turbo gsx efe. My inspiration is this piccy below. Im a crap welder at the moment, but figure i should be ok,once i finish this type of exhaust system (if i ever get it done!!).

I once started to make an exhaust like this in the past, and it was very hard to get right. I think i must have abandoned it after making 3 of the 4 pipes. Ive a few pics of one of the pipes i started on,but cant find the other pics at the moment.
