Yeah looks that way for me to, except I wasn't planning to wear a bikini in the first place. Almost tempted to drop out as going to be travelling long distance in the wet!

Hi MrFrance,

We are going to get wet at some point during the weekend. Crying or Very sad It happens on ride-outs. You will no doubt enjoy, at the bar, the stories of past down-pours. I shall be testing the weather proofing of Italian electronics on this ride-out - wish me luck! Shocked

I strongly advise the following:
  • 1. Get a waterproof over suit - they're not that expensive;
  • 2. Bring a spare pair of gloves - they will get soaked no matter how water proof they claim to be;
  • 3. Bring the sat-nav, but don't rely on it. Keep it warm and dry in your luggage. Have a route on paper you can follow. Use the sat-nav only if you need it. It won't be needed on the ride-out;
  • 4. Don't be defeated by a little rain. Riding in the rain is good for you - you'll be amazed what you learn. But not if you're soaked through, see point 1.

See you there then? Looking forward to seeing everyone. great

Chris

PS My route is nearly 200miles home to BC. Others will travel further!

Riding in the rain is good for you

I agree, Ive only ridden in the rain a couple of times so will do me good to get some confidence built up!!

p.s.

Learn from my past mistakes and don't leave your braking too late in the wet!!

Thanks for the tips Steve.

I am an all year round rider so not that bothered about riding in the wet just got a bit of flu at the mo so just don't want it to get worse No

Plus this will be my longest distance travelled which can be demoralising if Im getting soaked along the lonely ride there :( ....hopefully weather won't be too bad I still really want to do this been looking forward to it for ages!!!

Thanks again

I was going to suggest slipping a pair of marigolds over your gloves, but it looks like the NHS are now sponsoring the BC ride-out!

Certainly the snapping of a pair of surgical gloves should get everyone to pay attention Shocked Very Happy
