Hello everyone! Empty Hello everyone!

Post  pipersam Thu Aug 05 2010, 19:55

Its time to introduce myself as I have monitoring the forum for a while.

I'm "actively" looking for a thundercat to buy (yellow/silver, gold/silver/black or all red - not that I'm fussy). I passed my restricted test 5 years ago and had a restricted hornet. Ended up under a bus one day (bus drivers fault, and I only had a scratch on my leg!!) so decided to give it a break and sell the bike. Have ridden around on other peoples bikes including a fazor 1000 (g/f's dad), gixxer six (g/f's bro) and CBF125 (g/f... Laughing) so have gradually built the confidence back up.

So thanks for reading and I hope you (from what I've seen - lovely people....) will be able to help me with any problems and advice that I need!

Sam.

Hi and welcome Sam.

Do you play the pipes, smoke a pipe, decorate cakes or none of the above?

Glad to hear you're back after the bust up with the bus.

Cheers

There is a red thundercat up at morse motorcycles in weston supermare at the moment. I think it comes up on an autotrader search, if not it is on their website. Thats one of the only opes in the dealers in this area at the moment though - I'm in Yeovil and I know coz I've looked!!

The weymouth to bridders run is a great road, just watch out for tourists that don't know where they are going and fail to indicate or turn in front of you last minute, especially this time of year!

I know what you mean about the tourists. 20mph on the 50mph road, either cause they're sightseeing or scared sh!tless of the road....

Thanks again,
Sam.

Thanks for the pointer. Will give them a call and see if I can arrange a viewing. Do those seat covers replace the whole seat, or can you just simply remove them?

I know what you mean about the coast road. Tourists driving at 20mph the whole way either because they're taking in the breathtaking views, or they are simply sh!t scared of the road!!!

Thanks again,

Sam.

The seat cowl sits on top of the original seat and should be removable without any damage. There are some clips that are screwed to the underside of the seat but if removed there shouldn't be any visible damage, just a couple of screw holes underneath.

Looks nice...... if not the best colour (tip, look at my profile Wink------>)

Ok so possible bike number two, and I think some will appreciate the colour scheme! (thanks to olliej for telling me about the ad!)

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201017357725651

Will call them in the morning to arrange a viewing and test drive. Not my preferred colour scheme but definitely worth a look and it looks in really good condition.

You would alway expect to pay more from a dealership. If it has full up to date service history & they are selling it with a warranty then fair enough but if not then it is expensive. Looks real nice condition & nice colours although a bit slow looking Smile . The brake fluid needs changing as it is black, should be golden yellow.

Great, thanks very much for the tip. I'm also going to see this bike tomorrow. Much newer, but with more miles, and again looks extremely tidy!
