First topic message reminder :

Just a quick hello really,

I'm in the process of getting through my test, I passed the Mod 1 on the 3rd and have the Mod 2 booked for the 27th. I've agreed to buy a P reg 'cat from a mate in London and my intructor has offered to ride it back for me next week if I drive him down there!

All in all I'm very excited about the prospect of getting on the road and have no doubt I'll be bothering you all with stoopid noob questions about bikes!

Thank
Alex

It may be that a good service is required but it may be as simple as chain tension too slack or tight. I have found there is a sweet spot on my bike where when the chain tension is perfect gearchanges are so smooth & pickup judder is minimimal.

Hi Steve, have just voted for the best/fastest colour green smile

I spoke to a couple of garages today and sevicing will set me back £200 minimum which I just dion't have at the moment. I did speak to one chap who when I described the problem asked me if I had just given it a 'serious wash' which I had! He said that water can drop into the spark plug holes and when they heat up and cause the water to evaporate can cause spluttering and missing. He recommended giving it a few days and seeing if the problem cleares up. TBH it was much better tonight when I went out for a blast.

We'll see i suppose.
