streetfightered cat. Empty streetfightered cat.

first time using this forum so please bear with me. i have a 96 thundercat which i've streefightered but there is a problem when i get the speed up to 40 - 50mph. the engine splutters as though theres not enough air or to much air, does anyone have any suggestions or remedies for my problem. cheers chunky.

Hi and welcome.

I'm no expert, but a cheap place to start is the air filter. If its a non standard item ( k and n etc ) pull it out and give it a good clean , then pop it back in.

If its a standard item, take it out. If its filthy, buy a new one and drop that back in and see how you go.

Your spark plugs may need changing, if they haven't been done in a few years.

You might need your carbs balancing or tuned. If you've changed the exhaust, you might need to have the bike dynoed.

Hope that helps.......... but like i said-I'm no expert!!
