New tyres... Empty New tyres...

...are amazing. When I got the bike I had a ropey Dunlop front and a square Metzeler rear. I made do for a few thousand miles, and didn't think much of it, but I have just invested in a pair of new Pirelli Diablo Strada's. Maybe it's (mostly) psychological, but the improvement in my cornering confidence is huuuge.
Seems as though the Strada has just been replaced by the Angel. Hope it feels as good when it comes to change again.

The new battery, chain and sprockets, service and MOT help as well. The enormous hole that's now in my wallet doesn't.

I put a pair of Stradas on a couple of weeks ago - I have only ridden a few miles but like what I felt so far.

Rolling Eyes That is allowed in Germany too lachen

A Dunlop at the front and a Metzeler at the back - not possible (allowed) in Germany

Perfectly legal in the UK, so long as both tyres are suitable for the bike in question. It's not ideal but it is not forbidden.

I went out and did around 120 miles (190 km) yesterday on my new tyres - nicely scrubbed in now and, I have to say, nice to ride on - very progressive and stable.
