Hi Thundercats!

Although I've been riding, working on and building bikes since I was 12 (nearly 50 years ago and a few police chases later!), I found your site due to the synpathetic oil shit (sorry. is a normal word in The Netherlands) syndrome. Thanks to you guys now switched to Castrol Power RS Racing 4T 5W-40. It's about 15 euro cheaper than Yamaha dealer!

Thus really grateful now already!

Why a Thundercat? Ask Elon Musk. Everytime I was stood still at the traffic lights the bloody Tesla's beat me on my FZR 600R. Never had so much fun for €500,- So decided to modify it completely and due to the time needed (Now installing wet NITRO and an O2 sensor from a Roll Royce) bought a Thundercat (1996) for 900 euro to run about on. Been to Brands Hatch twice on it without problems!

I hope I can be of help to you guys if needed. Have a professional set up in the garage (private!) and spend alot of time there playing with ideas.

Look forward one day to sharing the UK bends with you guys!

Stay alive!

Welcome aboard Paulo.

Loved your biking story.
You’re more than welcome at any of the UK ride outs.
Good luck with the nitro and the out-running Wink

Cheers

Hartelijk welkom Paolo, glad the site has been of help to you wink thumb up

Your use of Castrol will warm the heart of one of our admins kiss Oh and Rolls Royce will sit well with someone here too great

All the best with your Nitro conversion. At 900€, sounds like you have a bargain. My first Thundercat was meant for the Dutch market, the give away was the speedo was in km/h and I could read/understand the warning sticker on the tank Shocked

You would have seen we have weekends away and plenty of bends in the routes ( and some hilly bits too Smile ), would be great if you could make a ride-out.
