hi guys, i have decided to keep my cat due to finding funds from the sale of another bike to fund the wifes new kitchen.

the one change i must do to the bike are the handle bars. i was informed that the fj1200 bars bolt straight on without any mods, is this true. thanks guys

They certainly look like they'll fit and both bikes use a 41mm fork tube.  The only issue will be clearance to the fairing at full lock.
