Re: Digger1981
Hi, ive not been on here much the last six months or so. Ive been very busy getting married, having a lovely honeymoon in the Maldives, then just to add to the stress of organising a wedding Michelle and i decided to move house. a very busy second half to 2015.
However, i have been on here in the background doing research. I wanted a stand and people seem happy with Abba so ive got one off one of my dads mates. Completly standard but ive purchased the fitting kit, just waiting for that.
Also looking at replacing my clutch cable due to about 5mm in total of movement. If that fails then will probably replace the clutch. Hopefully this will sort getting into second gear too as that can be a bit difficult sometimes. I did read a thread about someone who took the gearbox apart to replace second gear... Bit out of my league!!
There doesnt seem anything else i need to do to the bike so then itll be things a want to do!!
Been researching exhausts... Looking at a full stainless system. Black widow and delkevic seem popular.
Cheers
Jon

Re: Digger1981
Congratulations....you've been very busy.
You may already know this but there is adjustment at the other end of the cable (behind the front sprocket cover) as well as at the clutch lever.
No harm in having a spare one though.
Cheers

As Rosco said don't forget about the adjustment at the sprocket cover. Can be a bit of a pain but worth the effort.
As for exhausts, I went for the delkevic downpipes and a Fuel can. As a lot of people will say soak your manifold studs and then soak them again
Well happy with the results of both items

Re: Digger1981
Cheers, ive adjusted the cable at both ends, no improvement. Hopefully its just a stretched cable. Could it be the original?! Easy fixes first!
Ive hinted at the wife about my impending birthday for a donation towards the exhaust....

Re: Digger1981
Clutch cable ordered and haynes manual consulted.
Got my an abba stand plus the cat fittings. unfortunately the fittings dont fit the stand so seems somewhere down the line the original standard fittings have been lost. Ive ordered these too, just waiting for them to arrive.
