I might be looking to sell my Cat, not sure if there will be enough interest in the bike as summer is about to finish.

not gonna be able to buy a bike like that for a long time, Jayster did an excellent job restoring it.

I think it needs like little bit of money to finish it off, plus it has been declared as a CAT D.

Any interest

might post in the for sale section soon

Tbh circumstances have changed, and i have bought a car, The bike itself is road legal and in terms of fixing it should cost the earth as its usable as it is.

Nah it not that bad at all just few scrapes and rear light and numberplate holder.

I would love to keep it as i know that i will never find another bike like that, it was a labour of love from the guy i bought it.

You had a nice bike that you dropped, it's been written off and your trying to sell it like it's in the condition it was bought.

Do you think we're fannies?

Reading your earlier post [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], it doesn't look too bad.

In your last post you said:
ttboy1988 wrote:Update : The bike has been written off, the bike was valued at £2700 so not bad overall, i am keeping the bike for the value of £675.
So, even if you sell it at a fraction of what you bought it for, it looks like you won't be out of pocket as I think you paid less than £2700 for it pre accident.

People like you piss me off on these sort of forums, its Great you can read the threads, maybe if paid close attention to the pictures you would see that the bike just has a bit of panel damage, it was a custom job and would probably cost quite lot to put back to how it was.

and i was rear ended, i didnt drop the bike

Fair point but, but i am not going to give it away am i, it shouldnt matter what or how much the insurance company paid out as thats the value i put on the bike. The bike was in pristine condition when bought it.

TBH i am only looking to see if there is any interest as i make it available to you guys first, before i put it on gumtree or ebay

My Daytona was a Cat D after being knocked over in a car park & you wouldn't have known by looking at it after it was repaired.

Of course not. Put it on eBay at a starting price of £900 and hope for the best.

Even though Cat' D isn't much to worry about (I bought a Cat' D VW Corrado), I think it might worry some people.

That sounds a bit more realistic to me.
If you listed it too high you'd probably just get a lot of time wasters with no sale at the end of it and if it didn't sell with a new listing you'd be tempted to jump at any offer just to get shot of it.
(It's a good way to get stuff cheap. green smile )

(fwiw I wouldn't expect you to give it away either. Wink )

I missed that comment, but I had paid close attention to the pictures and also noticed the damage to the bar end.
If the clip-on is bent and traps a hand it's an MOT fail, and they aren't particularly cheap to replace new.
..then there's this:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Exhaust mount has been panned in/broken (rear wheel also looks offline and the tail undertray is a bit knacked looking)

and this:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Which looks anything but right and almost as if the back end has collapsed. (given that broken bracket is now closed, but seems to have dragged a but of the tray down with it)

So, it's not just a 'bit of panel damage', is it?

My bike got reversed over (it was under the tank of the car) and didn't end up as bad as that. green smile

Good luck with the sale, sounds like the insurance company have offered you a decent amount.

Mine was written off, they paid me a decent amount and I kept the bike, repaired the damage and sold it as a Cat D so overall didn't do too badly out of it.

Last write -off I had ended up with me £800 out of pocket and no car for work, due to the finance. grumpy
